On Monday MCDH hosted it's first Blood Drive for many years. Thank you for hospital employee, Kathy O'Connell, who asked the question 2 months ago "why don't we have blood drives here?" I signed up for the first appointment at 10 am. When I got to the Redwoods Room there were already 3 people ahead of me! By the end of the 4 hour blood drive, at least 41 people had donated a unit of blood. I am hoping that Blood bank of the Redwoods will be pleased with this turnout and that they will allow us to hold blood drives here again. Thank you again Kathy for suggesting it and for all your work in coordinating it.
